Trunk Bay, St. John, US Virgin Islands

This is the iconic view of Trunk Bay Beach from a roadside overlook. The beach has made the top spot in numerous “world’s best beaches” lists, and for good reason. The water is a stunning turquoise with shades of deeper blues. It is part of the Virgin Islands National Park, and under the waters are many endangered and beautiful fish, coral, and other marine life that can be explored as part of an underwater snorkeling trail. Visiting this beach, and stopping at the overlook along the way, is a must-do when visiting St. John in the US Virgin Islands.
